Application Due Date: August 1, 2025, by 4:59 PM
To address a critical need for improved trauma care in the United States, TRC4 was established to harness the power of the University of Texas System to transform trauma care both on the battlefield and in the civilian sector. As a part of this initiative, we are creating a pipeline to develop future independent investigators who will engage in collaborative trauma-centric research to increase understanding of the mechanisms of traumatic injury and subsequent critical illness, to create innovative treatment options, and to improve clinical practice and patient outcomes. The program will provide financial support and professional development opportunities for post-doctoral researchers.
The goal of the program is to support postdoctoral scholars pursuing trauma research and to engage them in a curriculum designed to develop key translational science competencies. Five postdoctoral positions are available for appointment beginning October 1, 2025. This is a 1-year appointment with an option to renew for a second year. Applicants must have a doctoral degree (e.g., DO, PharmD, DVM, MD, PhD) and have a post-doctoral research fellow appointment (or its equivalent) at a University of Texas institution. The scholar’s research project must be in trauma.
