A new research opportunity is available for veterans and active-duty service members who are experiencing symptoms of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). Researchers at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio are conducting an open-label treatment trial exploring the potential of personalized transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) to improve PTSD symptoms. This innovative approach involves daily TMS treatments over a two-week period.
The study is actively recruiting participants who:
- Are between 18 and 65 years of age.
- Meet the criteria for PTSD, as determined through an assessment by the study staff.
- Do not have any metal objects in their body that would make an MRI scan unsafe.
Participants in this research trial will receive compensation for their time and will not be charged for any treatments or study-related assessments. This offers a unique opportunity to access cutting-edge research and potential therapeutic benefits at no cost.
The research will be conducted at the Research Imaging Institute, located at 8403 Floyd Curl Dr., San Antonio, TX 78229.
